1/24th scale Ferrari 312T kit

The new 1/24 scale kit of the Ferrari 312 T 1975 is now available. It has been a major undertaking that required time, energy, and the utmost commitment from the entire Tameo Team over the past months. This is an all-metal kit made up of approximately 400 parts in total. This model required the manufacture of a new mould to produce the characteristic 1970s “balloon” tires. To make the tires realistic, the tread has been hand-wrapped, while the Goodyear lettering on the sidewalls is applied in white tampo printing. To support the weight of such a large model, we deemed it necessary to produce the lower suspension components in brass using the micro-casting process. Many small parts that cannot be cast in metal have been produced using various types of resin and 3D printing. In particular, the front and rear brake air ducts are made from translucent resin, which requires only a light coat of sand-coloured paint to achieve the realistic appearance of the original component. The seat belts are made of pre-cut self-adhesive vinyl. The classic windshield is thermoformed using transparent material that is already pre-painted blue. The mechanical parts, as well as all engine and gearbox details, are faithfully reproduced to give the model the highest possible level of realism. Despite the large number of parts, the kit’s design has been conceived to ensure the greatest possible ease of assembly, allowing even less experienced modelers to achieve an excellent final result.
